 Lillian Evaniew-Phelan's is from White Rock BC Canada and began her equestrian career competing in the Arabian Association and in Dressage with her Morgan Arab mare in the early 80s. Privileged to have had the most valuable correct learning from her longtime coach who rode with Dietrich von Hopffgarten.  

Since then Lillian has started many young horses, problem horses and showing in numerous competitions with different breeds and disciplines in the past forty years.

 For seven years, Lillian became an assistant trainer for Ruth Sweet, an AQHA World Champion Trainer. Learning many disciplines from, Reining, Trail, Western Riding, Working Cow, Cutting, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Showmanship and Horsemanship. Along with competing on many horses for clients.

Currently, Lillian continues to ride Classical Dressage and compete, earning her USDF Bronze Medal on self made AQHA horses that were not designed for Dressage and winning many World Titles and Championships.

In early 2000 Lillian bought 20 acres of bare ground and began building her Equestrian Center. Five years after building her house,  barn and arenas she met and married her Husband. They have now completed and expanded White Rock Performance Horses to a 70 acre Equestrian facility. Specializing in Dressage and Western Dressage with a no gimmick training approach, producing a willing and happy equine and competitor.  

Lillian currently holds 13 judges cards, judging in Canada and in the US.    

If you are looking for a Horse Show Judge Lillian is extremely professional with outstanding communication skills and is dedicated to judging horses and riders fairly and accurately. She conducts herself in a manner that shows respect to the exhibitors and horse show association that she is judging for. She takes pride in being a Licensed Official Judge and strongly believes in a positive approach encouraging exhibitors. 

Lillian feels that the horses welfare should be the most important part of being a well respected judge.  

After pursuing her degree Lillian continues to improve her knowledge by attending judging seminars and clinics. She is currently a candidate in the USDF L Judges Program.

Lillian is a unique Clinician that has a keen and honest way of communicating with various types of horses, riders and disciplines in her Clinics, making her a valued returning Clinician to Associations. Her training techniques are designed around the humane welfare of the horse, helping each horse to excel in what they are capable of achieving.
